How To Become That Girl + Checklist!

What does it mean to be that girl? Being “that girl” is a trend that basically means you have your life together. Being that girl means you prioritize wellness, self-care, fitness, and beauty. When we think of that girl we imagine they wake up early, they’re organized, they’re in shape, they’re confident. 

To me, I like to think of becoming that girl is to become the best version of yourself. To be that girl you need to take care of yourself, you need to do what’s best for you, you need to learn what you want out of life and go get it!

Keep reading for tips, habits, and ideas on what you can do to become “that girl”. Adjust these ideas to best fit your life and how you imagine the best version of yourself. Most of all, don’t take it too seriously, have fun with it, and be proud of yourself!

REFLECT ON YOUR LIFE AND FIGURE OUT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE

Take some time to reflect on the current state of your life and where you want to go from here. Do you want to advance in your career? Do you want to work on your mental health? Figure out your top priorities and where you see yourself in the future.

SET YOUR GOALS

Goal setting is the perfect way to become the best version of yourself. Set your daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals. Setting your goals and having something to work towards will ensure that you will succeed in life. Check out my post: How To Improve Your Life In 2024: Goal Ideas!

Create a bucket list for all your dreams and experiences you want to accomplish in your life. Keep adding to this list throughout your life and checking it off as you accomplish each one. Having a bucket list will motivate you, inspire you, excite you, and keep your mind focused on everything you want to experience. 

WAKE UP EARLY

Waking up early is the number one thing I see girls adding to their routines when they want to become that girl. Waking up earlier than you typically would will allow you more time to work on yourself and to have a more relaxed morning. Wake up early enough that you have some time for your self-care, fitness, and planning. 

ORGANIZE YOUR CALENDAR

Create, organize, and adjust your calendar. Staying organized and on top of things will really help you be your best selfUse a planner, a monthly calendar, or a calendar app on your phone; whichever works best for you. Put in all your appointments, events, birthdays, holidays, anything important to stay on track.

READ MORE BOOKS

Find what type of books you enjoy reading and take time to read more! Whether you like to escape with fiction books or learn more with self-help books. Start a Good Reads account to find recommendations and keep track of your reading. Reading is a great way to relax, take your mind off things, expand your knowledge, and learn how to improve yourself.

TAKE CLASSES OR JOIN PROGRAMS ON TOPICS YOU ARE INTERESTED IN 

Is there a topic you’ve been interested learning about? Or a new skill you want to try? Join some programs or sign up for classes and get out of your comfort zone.

  • Workout classes
  • Online learning programs
  • Learn another language
  • Take yoga classes
  • Learn how to do makeup

Self Care, Wellness, and Mental Health

CREATE A SUNDAY RESET ROUTINE

A great start to become “that girl” would be to have a Sunday Reset Routine. Having a sunday reset routine will allow you to do all the steps you need to take care of yourself. START A GRATITUDE JOURNAL

Every girl needs to have hobbies they are passionate about, especially “that girl”! Try some new activities and find a hobby that lights a spark in you and inspires you.

  • Painting, coloring, drawing
  • Learn a new language
  • Reading
  • Skincare or makeup

HAVE A SOLID SLEEP SCHEDULE

Having a solid sleep schedule is important to feel better all around. You will feel more like yourself and more clear if you have a good sleep schedule. Figure out what works for you and how much sleep you need to be your best self.

FIND WELLNESS PRODUCTS THAT HELP YOU

CREATE A PINTEREST BOARD OR MOOD BOARD

Pinterest boards or mood boards are the best inspiration to look at if you want to become that girl. Find some mood boards that inspire you and create your own! Make some different boards for any style you like, whether it’s a classic, clean mood board, or a happy, colorful board, or a pretty pink mood board. Have fun with it and get creative.

CREATE MORNING AND NIGHT ROUTINES

Creating morning and night routines are an essential step to become that girl. Morning and night routines help you stay on top of your self-care, your beauty practices, and your productivity. ESTABLISH A WORKOUT ROUTINE

GO FOR DAILY WALKS AND GET YOUR STEPS IN

I promise you that getting your daily steps in will truly make a difference. I noticed a huge difference in my body, my mood, and my mental clarity since I started tracking and hitting my step goal. Go for walks outside or on the treadmill, use the stair climber; whichever you prefer but make sure you get your daily steps in!

MAKE A HEALTHY MEALS RECIPE BOOK

Try out different healthy meals and create a recipe book or a folder online of all your favourite meals. Keep them simple and easy enough that you know you can stick to those healthy meals, even on busy days. Eating healthy is an important part of becoming your best self.

UPGRADE YOUR WARDROBE

Go through your clothes and donate any you don’t wear anymore or that don’t suit your style. Try different styles and figure out what you like. Build a capsule wardrobe with essentials and basics so you can easily put outfits together!

CREATE A SKINCARE AND HAIR CARE ROUTINE

Once you figure out what products work best for your skin and hair, you need to have a solid routine to keep up with your skin and hair care! Taking care of your skin and your hair will make you glow and give you confidence.

BOOK THOSE BEAUTY APPOINTMENTS

Get your nails done, get your lashes done, book a facial massage; anything that makes you feel better about yourself. Taking time for yourself and what makes you feel good is so important. Book your beauty appointments!
